When I was a blue balloon
I fled the heavy touch of hands
Escaping reach, I drifted
Soaring among the clouds
Riding their transient, wet bodies

In a blue-tinted dream
I felt my skin loosen
And my color grow deep
And I hoped for the untying of my knot
To feel everything inside me
Rushing out to the greater flow
From which it came
To leave behind the empty rider
And become the ride
